§ 10-140. Inspection required.

  • (a)

    The grounds on which the activity is to be held will be inspected prior to the issuance of an amusement license to ensure that any exhibit, amusement or other installation complies with all city building, fire prevention or other applicable codes and ordinances.

    (b)

    The director of building and code enforcement, or his designee, shall order, in writing, a temporary and immediate halt of operations of any carnival, fair or amusement attraction if it has been determined after inspection to be hazardous or unsafe. Operation of the carnival, fair or amusement attraction shall not resume until the unsafe or hazardous condition is corrected to the satisfaction of the director of building and code enforcement or his designee.
