§ 2-412. Composition; appointments; term of office.

(a)

The housing commission shall consist of 11 members, with ex officio membership of the director of building and code enforcement in a technical and professional advisory capacity. The general membership shall be appointed on the basis of areas of interest or expertise by the mayor with the approval of the city council, with the intent to provide as broad a cross section of the political, social, economic, age, religious and ethnic representation of the community as possible.

(b)

Members of the housing commission shall serve three-year terms. All members shall continue to serve until their successors have been appointed and qualified.
