§ 38-1. Detention center.

The detention center shall be used for the temporary incarceration of all persons arrested for violating any laws of the state or of the city, until such persons shall be brought before a court for a hearing or until such persons shall be lawfully transferred to some other place of incarceration, or otherwise lawfully released.
