§ 62-277. Monuments—Placement.

  • (a)

    Permanent land bounding monuments consisting of metal pipes of not less than one-half-inch in diameter and 18 inches long, encased in a concrete cylinder at least four inches in diameter, shall be located in the ground at opposite points within the development pursuant to 765 ILCS 205/0.01 et seq.

    (b)

    Metal pipes at least one inch in diameter and 18 inches long shall be placed at all lot corners, points of curvature and tangent points of curves throughout the subdivision.

    (c)

    All stakes and monuments must be set at the proper elevations so that they will be flush with the ground when the finished grading has been completed.

    (d)

    The developer shall provide certification to the director of engineering that all monuments required by this chapter have been set prior to final acceptance of the development.
