§ 66-307. Effective date.

This article shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval and publication as required by law of the ordinance from which this article is derived; provided, however, that:

(1)

Section 66-302 and section 66-303 shall take effect for all bills issued on or after January 1, 2003;

(2)

The tax provided for herein shall take effect for all bills issued on or after the first day of January, 2003; and

(3)

Any amounts due or payable to the municipality for any tax periods ending prior to the first day of January, 2003, shall nevertheless remain payable as if this article had not been adopted. Copies of this ordinance shall be certified and sent to the Illinois Department of Revenue prior to October 1, 2002.
