§ 6-93. Insurance required.

  • (a)

    No license under this chapter shall be granted to any applicant until such applicant shall furnish evidence satisfactory to the local liquor commissioner that such applicant is covered by a policy of liquor liability insurance and, if he is not the owner of the premises described in such application, that he has a lawful right to possession of the premises until the expiration of the term of the license for which application is made.

    (b)

    Each licensee under this chapter shall furnish the local liquor commissioner with a certificate of insurance as required by this section, and in the event of cancellation, the local liquor commissioner shall be notified immediately of such cancellation.
