§ 38-57. Requirements for appointment.

  • To be eligible for appointment as an auxiliary police officer, an applicant shall be recommended for appointment by the chief of police and the city's director of human resources, and shall not be a full-time or auxiliary member of any other police department, shall be at least 21 years of age, shall not be convicted of a felony or crime of moral turpitude, shall possess a valid state motor vehicle driver's license and shall have the mental and physical attributes necessary to perform as an auxiliary police officer.
